All About Deborah Luck
I began writing when I was in high school, but was told I'd need a day job if I wanted to eat and have a place to live. I pursued my second passion--teaching--and am now a faculty member at a small college. I love my students and my job, but the stories keep coming, demanding to be told.
My first reading passion was fantasy: Anne McCaffrey, Roger Zelazny and Patricia McKillip changed my life forever. Then I stopped reading for a while as life got in the way. Grad school, kids, career...no time or energy to search out new books and actually read. Then a friend introduced me to historical romance and I was hooked again. What better way to de-stress than to escape into a Judith McNaught or Lisa Kleypas book?
I recently finished my first fantasy romance. When I wrote it, I had no idea there was such a genre as fantasy romance! I simply wrote what I love...
I'm delighted to have discovered RWA and FF&P--so many authors writing fantasy romance--where to begin?
