Win a Pitch! |
FF&P is proud to sponsor an exciting, new program to both celebrate our new website as well as encourage those members to take the final steps necessary to further their careers and acheive PRO status: Win a Pitch! Various editors and agents have generously agreed to spend an hour in our chat room taking pitches from our members. Each pitch will be allotted a ten minute slot, thus there are only six slots available per editor or agent. To give everyone a fair chance, we will be raffling off each pitch appointment!
So here's how it works:
- Members may enter one time per day by visiting the website and clicking the "Win a Pitch!" button for that specific editor/agent. (We will be frequently adding new editor/agent raffle buttons, so if you don't see one you want to enter yet be sure to keep checking back!)
- Bonus entries will be given out from time to time for attending various other FF&P Events such as Craft Chat, Craft Spotlights, Workshops, etc.
- Any member who has achieved PRO status by the date of the drawing, shall receive double the raffle entry tickets for that drawing and all future drawings. (This includes all members who are already PRO.)
- Winning raffle tickets are subject to the rules and may be disqualified from the participating for not following the rules.
RULES:
- Names will randomly be drawn one week before the pitch date.
- In addition, two alternate names will be drawn should any of the winners become disqualified or not appear for their pitch appointment.
- A list of the genre’s the agent/editor requesting pitches covers, date and time of the pitches will be clearly listed on the details page for each raffle, and it is the responsibility of the entrant to consult these guidelines.
- Winners and alternates must email a copy of a three-sentence pitch and genre to the raffle coordinator within 48 hours of notification of raffle win.
- If entrant’s pitch is longer than three-sentences or not in a genre that agent/editor listed as requesting on the raffle details page, the entrant will be disqualified and one of the alternates will be asked to take their pitch spot.
- Each pitch will be limited to no more than ten minutes. Failure to leave the pitch session after a coordinator has buzzed an entrant will result in disqualification from further pitches unless the editor/agent agrees to a time extension.
